Zai Jian Beijing

The world record breaker

The Beijing Olympic games have come to an end yesterday. Thumbs up to China for successfully hosting the event magnificently! I think this is the best Olympic ever. The opening ceremony was extremely extraordinary. Who could forget Sydney Olympic when Cathy Freeman lit the flame in the cauldron within a circle of fire but here in Beijing is surely magical
. The final recipient of the Olympic relay was former gymnast Li Ning ignited the cauldron, after being suspended into the air by wires and completing a lap of the National Stadium at Stadium roof height in the air. He was lifted more than 50 feet up in the air! It was nerve-racking!

The Super Phelps

The Superwoman - Chen

What makes this game even better when world records were being smashed one after another. From the pool to track & field. The superhuman Michael Phelps & the thunder lightning (Usain) Bolt in 100 meters. It’s so amazing to see! Even though I didn't manage to catch all the games but I was glued in front of my t.v. set at almost every opportunity I had. Thanks to Astro who brought the games closer to us & thums up to them too..excellent coverage!

Yes! Finally Fedex has won the gold medal through men doubles. Lutfi said double game doesn’t mean much but Olympic is special to every athlete, every medal is precious as athletes are representing their country. It's so nice to see Fedex was enjoying his games and celebrated joyously his win. I hope it could boost his confidence after playing a series of bad tennis for the past few months. Congrats Fedex. (Sorry Lut, u can celebrate yr Rafar’s win too).. And I still wanna Tennis to be part of Olympic games.

One of the most thrilling games is volleyball

Congrats to all athletes for producing exciting & thrilling games!

And congrats to China too for being the overall champion! Lets put the icing on the cake – remember there was no drugs issue in Beijing Olympic!

Well, hopefully London could match China.. (unfortunately their segment during the closing was very average..sorry Londoners) Anyway all the best to London & see you at 2012.
